The National Children’s Chorus, one of America’s premier choral institution for youth, seeks a Kodály Musicianship Instructor in San Francisco for its Junior and Senior Divisions, ages 7 to 14. Rehearsals take place once a week on Tuesday afternoons (5:00 –6:45) at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. To begin September 2019.
Job Description:
Basic classroom and management duties, including parent relations.
Preparation and instruction of one Junior Division and one Senior Division class per week on Tuesdays.
Adhere to and teach musical standards and concepts as defined by the National Children’s Chorus.
Position may be filled by one or two qualified individuals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Music.
Minimum of Level 1 and 2 Kodály training preferred. A Level 1 only will be considered with recommendation.
Previous experience working with children.
Upbeat, creative personality.
High-level verbal and written communication skills.
